Producation Log 5
Getting into groups and deciding which music video we was going to use was the best part of the week. After presenting our individual music video ideas and pitching them to the class their feedback was a mixture of both positive and negative. They made me think about things I could of improved on such as feeling more confident and speaking louder which I could improve next time by preparing in advanced and making little flash cards of notes that will help me deliver a more clear and understanding presentation. In my pitch I used my research from other posts such as my beach combing and m search for my artist to help me deliver a more secure and informative presentation.

Music Video Lyrics
'Hide behind that pretty face', 'believing' and 'lies' this already shows me that this song is about someone not being them true selves and hiding between their looks when in reality their personality is ugly. I have already seen a way to portray this in the narrative of my music video showing a couple meeting on social media like Instagram which is an a
From 'All about you' and 'rearranging' I thought of recording a guy being vain and recording and taking lots of pictures of himself because he thinks everything is about him. He is also moving pictures around on his phone while she's watching him to relate back to the lyrics where it says 'watching all your rearranging'. To make the music video funny I thought off using 'out do yourself'' as the girl telling him to wear make up while he's doing his hair to make him look more in love with himself.

Music Video Pitch Evaluation
When I pitched my music video to the class they thought it was a good song choice and that the ideas I had for the music video were suitable and relates to the music video. I felt that my ideas were clear enough so that my audience could understand the points I was trying to make however, I thought that that I could have explained and expanded on the things I said in my pitch to make sure that my audience understood.
The feedback I received from my audience allowed me to think about elements that I haven't thought of. Such as expanding on my locations just in case the beach on the river themes doesn't work out in the winter. I had thought of filming in an arcade as a lot of couples go there on dates so I could use that as a flash back scene in the music video. I thought about a park on the spot as you see a lot of couples going for a walk in parks. A lot of single people are also found in parks and as my song is about breaking up sang by a strong independent female I could make a contrast between this when filming the music video.
I should of also made my target audience a big part of my presentation and refereed everything back to the audience when making a point as I found that a lot of questions I got asked were related back to the audience. In terms of costume I feel like I wouldn't use extravagant clothing and stick to casual clothing as the budget we have is not high and we therefore need to work with that everyone has in their wardrobe. Emanuel one of my suggested artists dresses like a hipster and thought it links good with the music video as we might get a verity of audience through this method. I should of made this clear in my pitch as I was asked who will I be targeting through this. Yes, my main target audience is girls from the age of 13-14 to 29 however, it can also be watched by males who like the hipster clothing of the male artist seen in the music video. The more audience the higher profit so why not try to target as many people as I can? I believe there is no limit in target audience and everyone should feel free and comfortable to watch my music video.

Permission Email
In order to start filming I had to make sure that I had permission from the artist to use her sons and lyrics to help me complete my media project. This is to prevent copy right illegal actions taken upon using a song that is not mine. I therefore found Amanda Kaletsky's email and Facebook and messaged her via both platforms to see if I got and answer. She replied saying it was ok for me to use her song and wanted a confirmation email from my teacher.
